Our Status As A Charity

We decided to launch Sew Powerful on Monday, September 12 2011. By Tuesday, September 20th we had received our Federal EIN Number, which is the first step in becoming a formally recognized charity. Until we are fully approved by Washington State and the IRS, we can receive funds, but they are not tax deductible for the giver. As a donor you’d simply be giving out of the kindness of your heart, not for any tax benefit.

So, we’ll keep you posted on our progress.
