JoEl - April 22, 2020

My favorite sewing tip for quilters or anyone who likes to paint their fabric: to exactly match a color, put the photo or color swatch under a piece of clear vinyl or glass. Mix your color directly on the vinyl/glass next to the sample.

Dena M - April 10, 2020

I like to make sure that I have everything I need for a project before I start working on it. That way I don’t have to stop the project to get something I need to finish it.

Marcy Mahle - April 10, 2020

My favorite sewing tip is to cover your printed patterns with clear contact paper before cutting out. That way you can simply trace around them onto fabric. I use a hole punch to mark the arrows on the pattern.

Kristina Peters - April 10, 2020

My favorite sewing tip/trick is for tiny seams. Place a regular piece of paper underneath the seam and it will feed through without a problem.

Kim - April 10, 2020

Be open to different color combinations when picking colors and patterns for quilts or doll clothes

Cassandra D - April 10, 2020

Creating gathers.

Mae LynnBeck - April 10, 2020

Don’t be afraid to redo something that didn’t turn out right. So much better to correct it immediately than to finish the project and be unhappy with it. Your seam ripper is really your friend.

Joan Schultz - April 10, 2020

Pray 1 st…plan…prepare.

Casey Linder - April 10, 2020

Always press or steam, depending on fabric, before hand stitching or machine sewing. The heat also activate starches to help keep gathered layers in place. Happy sewing!

June - April 10, 2020

Be patient take your time and your projects will be amazing
